eligibility criteria:

The eligibility criteria are the same for Tamil Nadu National Law School, Tiruchirapalli and CLAT. It is based on the educational qualification and age of the candidate. To get a better understanding of the eligibility criteria, the candidate must pass through the points given below:

  • BA to apply in LLB, B.Com LLB, and LLM candidate are required to pass class XII and equivalent examination with 45% marks in aggregate examination and SC / ST class candidates should get minimum marks of 40%. The candidate is also required to complete at least 20 years of education.
  • To get admission for LLM examination, the candidate has to pass LLB or equivalent examination from a recognized university with minimum 50% marks. Candidates who have completed LLB course and are waiting for the result can also apply

TNNLS 2021 Application Form:

Candidates seeking admission to this law school must fill the CLAT application form. They can fill this form online and to do so, the candidate is required to follow the steps given below:

  • First candidate has to register
  • Then the candidate has to fill the application form
  • Candidates are required to enter the names of 21 NLUs as per their choice
  • Then it is necessary to upload all the required documents
  • Finally, the candidate has to pay the fee and submit the form
  • Candidates can take a print out of the application form for future references.

  • The application fee for the candidates for general category is Rs. 4000 / –
  • For SC / ST category candidates, the application fee is Rs.500 / -.

  • To download the admit card, the candidate has to enter any two of the three details – application number, email ID or date of birth.
  • Check the admit card and then download it

Exam Pattern:

  • The candidate will have to answer multiple choice questions and have a total of 100 questions.
  • There will be two essay type questions and each of these questions carries 25 marks. The word count for each essay will be 800 words.

Based on the marks obtained by the candidates in the CLAT exam, a merit list will be published. The merit list will also have the names of the colleges where candidates want admission. The candidate must first check the result by putting in the required login credentials. After the result is declared, the merit list will be released.

cut off:

The cut off for admission will be issued by the consortium of NLU. There will be a total of three rounds of counseling and the cut off will be issued separately for each program. Candidates receiving eligibility points will be called for counseling session.
