National Military School Admission 2022 Application Form:

The application form and prospectus are easy to obtain from any national military school by paying Rs. 600 / – through Demand Draft DD or Cash (Rs.300 / – for SC / ST category applicants). Facility to receive application form by school post by sending it to own address and Rs. 650 / – (Rs. 50 for SC / ST category). Rupee. eligibility criteria:

  • No previous class educational qualification is compulsory for admission to sixth grade.
  • The candidate should successfully clear the eighth grade from a recognized school before the date of admission. Those who are appearing in the eighth grade can also apply.
  • If a child wants to get admission in class VI, then the appropriate age should be 10 to 12 years by 31 March 2022. This entry will be granted to boys only.
  • If a child wants to take admission in the ninth grade, then the appropriate age should be 13 to 15 years by 31 March 2022. This entry will be granted to boys only.
  • Selected applicants will undergo medical examination in military hospitals designated by the Director General of Medical Services before getting admission. Those who are medically fit will be able to get admission in national military schools.

Important to note: There will be a six-month exemption for wards of personnel working in action for admission to Class VI and IX.

National Military School 2022 Entrance Examination:

National Military School Admission follows the OMR based Common Entrance Test (CET) to provide admission to classes VI and IX, usually on the third week and Sunday in the month of December 2022. The entrance examination will be based on the below mentioned topics:

  • Class VI: The questions in the paper will appear from Class V syllabus from subjects like General Knowledge, Intelligence, Mathematics and English only.
  • Class IX: The questions in the paper will appear from the syllabus of Class VIII only from subjects like Hindi, English, Social Science, Mathematics and Science.

Reservation of seats:

  • JCOs / Army, Navy, and Air Force (including ex-servicemen) will get 70% seat reservation
  • Seat reservation for Navy, Army, and Air Force officers (including retired officers) and civilian wards will be 30%
  • In all five national military schools, 50 seats will be reserved for those killed in the action category.
  • Reservation for SC will be 15%
  • For ST class will be 7.5%

Exam Pattern:

As mentioned earlier, boys in the sixth and ninth grades will be admitted through CET (Common Entrance Test). Given below is the exam pattern for similar:

Exam Pattern for class VI:

  • English will be for 50 marks and the minimum qualifying marks to be obtained is 35%
  • Intelligence test will be for 50 marks and the minimum qualifying mark to get is 40%.
  • Mathematics will be for 50 marks and the minimum qualifying mark for obtaining is 40%
  • General Knowledge and Current Affairs will be for 50 marks and the minimum qualifying marks for obtaining will be 40%.
  • Interview will be for 20 marks

Important to note: It is important to successfully pass the candidates for the entrance examination. English marks will not be counted in the preparation of merit list.

Exam Pattern for class IX:

  • Paper 1 consists of three subjects – English, Hindi and Social Science. The qualifying marks are 50, 20 and 30 respectively.
  • Paper 2 consists of two subjects – Maths and Science. Qualifying marks are 50 in both the subjects.
  • Interview will be for 50 marks

National Military School Examination Syllabus:

  • Those who have applied for class VI will prepare from books studied in class V and those who have applied for IX will prepare from books studied in class VIII.
  • Language can be English or Hindi to answer the questions (depends on the choice of the child).

National Military School Interview:

Those who succeed in CET (Common Entrance Test) will be called for interview in any National Military School. The marks obtained in the interview round will be added to the final score and accordingly a merit list will be prepared.

Exam Results:

Merit (IHQ), merit list of DGMT / MT-15 and school allocation will be announced. However, unsuccessful candidates will not receive any notice. The final result will be uploaded on the official website of the National Military School.

Selection Process:

Candidates selected in the order of merit list on the basis of total marks obtained by CET and interview, admitted to National Military Schools located in five different states based on availability of seats / vacancies, medical fitness as per the seat reservation criteria for different categories. Medical Fitness:

Those who have successfully qualified the written test and interview rounds, according to the criteria / criteria mentioned in AFMSF-2 and according to the criteria mentioned in the application form in the hospital only, for further medical fitness examination before getting admission in the National Military Schools Will increase. National Military School Fees:

  • Or their equivalent tuition fees in Navy and IAF (including Ex-servicemen) Rs. 400 / – and as a caution money Rs. 1200 / -.
  • JCO and their equivalent tuition fees in Navy and IAF (including Ex-servicemen) Rs. 700 / – and will pay caution as Rs.1800 / -.

  • Caution money will be deposited at the time of admission and subsequently returned without interest on leave from school. School fees must be paid once a year and will be paid directly to the school at the time of admission.
