Eligibility Criteria for LFAT 2021:

It is important for applicants to pass the eligibility criteria before applying for LFAT 2021.

  • The candidate must have successfully completed the twelfth grade or equivalent examination, which must be recognized by the University or the Admissions Council of the Bar Council of India.
  • General category candidates should get minimum 45% marks in class 12th or equivalent examination and OBC category applicants should get at least 42% marks to apply. SC / ST candidates should get at least 40% in class XII.

LFAT 2021 Application Form:

  • First of all, go to the official website.
  • Then go to the home page and choose LFAT 2021 and select ‘Proceed’.
  • Now, go to the new page, and click on Apply for LFAT 2021 and the application form will appear on the screen.
  • Fill all the important details in this application form and upload the documents as well.
  • After working with the application form, pay the application form.
  • The application fee for LFAT 2021 will be Rs. 1600 / – for general category applicants and Rs. 800 / – for OBC category and for other categories candidates.
  • Once done, the process of application is over. Keep a copy of the form with you for the future.
  • Candidates will also be sent a registration number and password which should be kept securely for further requirements.

Exam Pattern:

  • The exam will be started in offline mode.
  • The candidate will get 120 minutes to complete 150 questions.
  • Questions will be revealed by language comprehension, general awareness and reasoning and legal competence.
  • The paper will consist of multiple choice questions
  • There will be a deduction of one third mark for every wrong answer. Two-thirds marks for every wrong answer in Part 1 and 2 and in Part 3.

  • Language comprehension will consist of 50 questions for 100 marks.
  • The General Awareness Language Comprehension will contain 50 questions for 100 marks.
  • Reasoning and Legal Aptitude Language Comprehension will have 50 questions for 100 marks.
  • The entire paper has to be completed in 150 minutes.

LFAT 2021 Syllabus:

The paper will have 3 sections:

  • Language comprehension: This section will have questions in both English and Hindi languages. Thus, candidates should do every subject in both languages. Some of the important topics covered in this section include – Reading Comprehension, Grammar based error spotting and Sentence Correction, Antonium Sinamani, Use of Words, Analysis etc.
  • General Awareness and Reasoning: Candidates need to prepare from stable and current general knowledge. The topics covered in this section are major changes taking place in Indian politics, Indian history and geography, international events, United Nations, sports, environmental news, awards and politics. Reasoning includes topics like Number Series, Alphabet Series, Linear Arrangements, Circular Arrangements, Direction Sense, Blood Relations, Syllogism and Critical Reasoning etc.
  • Legal Qualification: This section covers topics like Torts, Law of Crimes, Indian Constitution, Contracts Law, Vicarious Liability, Strict Liability, Intellectual Property Rights and International Laws etc.

The result for LFAT 2021 will be declared at the end of September. The results will be available on the official website of the university. The steps to check the result are as follows:

The cut off is the minimum marks that candidates are required to score in order to take admission in LFAT 2021. Here the description of LFAT 2021 has been cut: –

  • General category candidates – 30% marks.
  • OBC category candidates – 27% marks.
  • There is no minimum eligibility criteria for SC / ST category applicants.
  • General category applicants should score 182.4.
  • OBC category applicants should score 172.8.
  • SC category applicants should score 152 marks.
  • ST category applicants should score 116 marks.
