The DET exam is conducted by the Haryana State Technical Education Society in order to provide a uniform examination for admission to its engineering and technology courses. The term DET stands for Diploma Entrance Test.

Haryana Polytechnic 2023 Application Form:

Haryana Polytechnic DET exam is conducted to give admission in lateral entry engineering diploma courses. Haryana State Technical Education Society (HSTES) conducts this state level examination every year, Haryana Polytechnic DET exam. The entrance examination is not conducted for 1 year of diploma and pharmacy courses. Admission in the first year of the diploma will be done on the basis of merit list. Interested candidates need to be careful about filling and submitting the application before the declared date. No application form is accepted after the last date of application.

  • Recently colored passport size photo file has to be uploaded in JPEG format and maximum allowed size of file is 30kb.
  • The signature has to be uploaded in jpeg format and the maximum allowed size of the file is 20kb.
  • There is no printed application form available for admission as the application process is online.
  • Interested candidates are advised to keep a printed copy of the application form in safe custody for future reference.
  • Candidates can visit the Common Service Center (CSC) to fill the online application form / deposit fee / counseling etc.
  • CSC or Common Service Center is a physical facility where one can have access to e-services of Government of India. These facilities are available at remote locations which do not have computer and internet facilities.

Application fee:

  • The application fee for the general category candidate is Rs 500.
  • The application fee for reserved category candidate is Rs 200.
  • The payment mode is online and is payable through debit card or credit card or net banking process.

  • Those candidates who are disqualified or debarred by a university or board or any other statutory board will not be eligible for admission to Haryana State Polytechnic for the entire duration of debarment.

  • For admission to diploma engineering courses, a candidate must have passed 10th or SSC examination from a recognized board or university.
  • The minimum qualifying marks for the candidates under General category is 35 percent.
  • The minimum qualifying marks for reserved category candidates is 33 percent.
  • For admission to diploma engineering courses, candidates should have passed the ITI course of minimum two years duration after completing their class 10 examination or the candidate should have passed 12th.Th Standards from a recognized board or university with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics as subjects. Candidates who have passed 12th standard in vocational education and have passed NSQF level 4 are also considered eligible. The NSQF is the National Skills Qualification Framework. The level of NSQF indicates the level of knowledge, skill and aptitude of a particular candidate. To qualify, a candidate must score a minimum of 35 percent.
  • For admission to Diploma in Pharmacy course, candidate should have passed class 12 or equivalent examination from a recognized board or university with minimum 35% marks as Physics, Chemistry, Biology or Mathematics.
